My in game name is: Ibu Ukiyo
I added you to my friends list, so whenever you're open, I'd like to take a course.

I would deffinitly recomend sno's services. Although I took a class well below my level as a 55 monk (the initiate one) I still learned a few things and he is a great teacher and has earned a permanent spot on my friends list.
Recently, I asked sno for his spider service which costs only 20k, most spider services cost as much as 35k so I figured I'd go with his service. What he was able to do simply amazed me, he did the whole thing 2-man 55/ss style and did it in, I swear, less than 20 minutes. What I loved about the whole thing was the I didn't have ToA open cause I just did the missions in that area and he got his friend(also the necro in the 2-man) to run me there for free! He was also a way cool guy.
I don't just recomend sno's classes I also recomend his spider service because it was fast and effective. I play on possibly taking the intermediate class soon so I'll be in contact.
Thanks Sno!

I didn't read the whole thread yet, so I apologise if any of the things I'm about to say have already been mentioned.
My advice to ppl who want to farm UW for real is to get a serious Necro or 55 monk partner that will always go with them and on who they can count on. Saves you a lot of trouble and you never get scammed. Not to mention it is by far more enjoyable than going with random ppl.
As for the smites run...it is possible to tank about 20 at once, but only if you use prot bond (that was at least the case with me) and even then the energy management can get risky (I'm sure sno has a lot of good advices on that issue). though that build sucks as far as spellcasters are concerned (speaking out of my own experience), so it's still better to stick with prot spirit.
I was reffered to this thread and I might even get myself the 100 K curse (once I'll get myself fow armor and will be bored to death), but not any time soon, since I learned enough with my UW partner to usually complete about 2-4 quests (ice king being one of them).
anyways, nice idea, sno.
I only hope they don't nerf UW as they have nerfed griffons any time soon...

I recently made a 55 monk and am interested in taking a course, but I'm not certain which would be the right course for me. I've capped both Spellbreaker and Shield of Judgement and I've use a build already with SoJ to solo (very briefly!) the beginning of the UW as well as the Mountain Troll cave, but I have absolutely NO time with a ss/sv/br necro duo. Would my experience using the 55 monk (as well as 55 SS necro) mean that the intermediate class would be right for me, or since I've not done any duo UW work, would the intiate class be more appropriate?
Well, my 55 monk is on the American Server (which never seems to have favor lately) but I've not switched servers at all yet. If you are available when I'm on, are you willing to go to your Euro character, or would I have to just catch you when you are available on the American server?
I'll try to PM you in game when I have the time to try the class.
(20 - 30 minutes needed?)

Thanks Sno! I hope to find some time in the coming week/weekend.
One more question: Would it be ok to listen in on Vent or TS, but not talk? More than likely I'll have to do this while my wife and or daughter are sleeping.
:P

The intermediate class would definately be optimum for you, since you're already familiar with the 55hp setup. I can go over things slightly more in depth since you're not familiar with the 2man method, but I think the initiate class would move far too slow for someone with your knowledge and experience, and you'd get a lot more out of the intermediate course.

I have both monk and necro on both servers, and would be glad to do the class on either one. If you'd rather switch to European servers for the class and then switch back that would be fine (since Europe has favor more often,) but I advise you to not switch until we're both ready to do the class. I wouldn't want to have you switch if I'm not available, and have you stuck on European servers without having taken the class.

Yes, pm me whenever you see me in game and we'll schedule a class. For initiate I like to make sure we have about an hour, just to be safe, so we can move at whatever pace necessary, and be sure to cover everything including all questions you may have.

I actually prefer teaching with text rather than Vent, simply because it's easier for me to concentrate. Especially with the higher level courses, some of the things I do require me to be very attentive to the game, and if I try talking while doing that, more often than not my words (in Vent) get garbled, and I start zoning out. I'm much more comfortable typing in between important parts (or during, in some cases) because then I can pace myself more carefully, ensuring not to miss any of the information in the course. In theory, it would be better to teach with Vent, which I thought until I tried it a few times, and noticed how confused it made me to try to do both at once :/

Yes, unfortunately my real life teaching and performing have gotten in the way of GW, but such is life. For anyone who cares, the main reason I haven't been in game as much recently is that I've been preparing for this, which I'll be performing in. After Saturday that will be gone (as well as all the stress it's brought) so hopefully I'll be getting on more after that
If you're having trouble catching me in game, feel free to leave a post here asking for a service, and I'll try to message you in game. Due to the lack of American favor however, I ask anyone from American servers to please understand that I can only do one course at a time, and only when America has favor. This ends up being almost never, since Europe has a corner on the Hall of Heroes lately. If you'd really like to take a class and haven't used all your territory switches, you may switch to a European server to take the class, just make sure I'm ready to teach before you switch to avoid inconveniencing yourself.

I'm interested!
Sno,
I AM interested in the intermediate class, per your recommendation from my post above. I've added both of your accounts to my friends list and keep my eye out for you. As I said, I've used none of my server switching, so I would be up for switching servers if needed. Heck, I have no friends that I play with and I am in a guild of one. Maybe I should just switch anyway!
I also prefer typing over Vent. I just thought I read somewhere in your post that you used a voice program.
Thanks. Hopefully I'll hook up with you soon.

As many of you may have realized, I've been spending more time on the forum lately than ingame. It would be much more beneficial to send a PM or post here if you'd like a service, and I'll do my best to contact you in game (but please, still try in game as that's the most reliable way of getting a service quickly.)
